Mitsumi "scroll" mouse (was Re: Mouse Wheel Scrolling)

Speaking of scroll mice, at home I have a Mitsumi scroll mouse (IIRC) with a button that slides forward and backward (i.e., not an actual wheel but with a similar motion) that works fine as a two button mouse but I when I tried about six months ago I had no luck getting the middle button recognized as either a middle button and no scrolling. Does anyone have a similar mouse that they've gotten to work?
