Check your /etc/printcap. I am sure it is pointing to /dev/lp1 (LPT2)
instead of /dev/lp0 (LPT1).
I had similar problem and just solved it today.

PrintTool detects seems always detecting /dev/lp0 as /dev/lp1.

Again redhat seems not testing its distribution very well before release.
