6.1 - setting localhost.localdomain upon ppp?

Hi,

I remembered in 5.2, upon ppp, localhost.localdomain would get changed to 
something (like qnts<ISP>.com.sg)
but now in 6.1, it is not so...
which one should be the correct behaviour?
If I wish to change localhost.localdomain upon ppp connection, how should I 
go abt it?
