Be sure to reply to that address.
On a RH 6.1 box I originally installed a Logitech mouse on COM1.
I've tried to move the mouse to COM2. After connecting the mouse to COM2 and rebooting, the
'scanning for new devices' picks up the missing mouse on COM1, I select 'remove' then the
system picks up the 'new' mouse on COM2 and I select the 'configure' option.
It goes thru, later on during boot the 'mouse service' starts up with okay.
Still - the mouse does not work when I start up Gnome.
Switching back to COM1 with the same routine will make it work again.
In /var/log/messages I can see the ttyS0 and ttyS1 ports recognized.
Anyone any idea why?
Thank you!
