Even upon a restart, having never launched x or gnome,
I will have the processor cycling problems...On
tuesday I will re-evaluate the situation and see if it
was my bad in doing something stupid with the
kernel...but I agree that when running gnome, there
appear more entries of the @0000007b variety, and the
reason those entries do not appear on my other 4.2 box
is that it doesnt have gnome. Regardless, those
entries (@0000007b) may not have anything to do with
my telnet problem or the processor cycling, but they
looked strange compared to the netstat from a 4.2
machine.
