I've been looking for a new computer that I can put Linux only on, but haven't

133, or something around that. I've been looking at auctions, but all I've

I think you have a good idea (if you have/can buy an extra monitor). Get
at least 64MB RAM if you can.
What can't you find at auction places? I purchased a P133/32MB/1GB from a
dealer on ebay about 6 mo. ago and am very happy with it. I guess it was a
little more than $200. I shopped ebay over the 7/4 holiday and there were
plenty of similar computers from sellers with lots and lots of positive
feedback. Of course, you can get one of those new 266MHz Oracle NICs for
$200 and for only about $600 (a year ago) I got a new Celron 400
MHz/128MB/6.4GB running Linux.
Next you may want a network which you can also find on ebay. Just got an
old 12 port SMC 10BASET hub for about $35, including shipping; around here,
you can buy a new 10/100 switch for about $100. Probably less in places
like Silicon valley.
