archive alias mail?

So far, I've been unable to find documentation on archiving e-mail that
is sent to aliases.  I've read the sendmail FAQ and the mailhelp
documentation at the moongroup site.

I have 3 aliases, each of which I'd like to archive.  The aliases are
specified in /etc/aliases, of course.  I'd like to be able to maintain
an archive for each of these that I can compress and store on a weekly
basis.

I am using sendmail 8.51.

Any suggestions/pointers/help would be most welcome.
