Hi all!
I've successfully booted my custom system (to be put in a 72MB hard
disk), and now get through to the login prompt. But then, when I type
the user name (root in this case), the screen is cleared and again the
login prompt appears, and all the time like this. So, I press
CTRL-ALT-DEL to reboot, and this message appears:
You don't exist. Go away
I've put the /etc/passwd and /etc/shadow files in the custom system, so
what else could be happening? I've checked if there were some missing
libs, but all the ones I know are needed are in the system (libdl,
ld-linux, libc, libpam....), the /bin/login executable is also in the
system, as well as /bin/sh.
Thanks very much for your help.
