As I'm still running 5.2 I don't know exactly how to change this, but if
you're wondering which config file man might access to get its colours,
maybe a trace run would reveal it? Something a la
strace -o man.log man something
Wild guess and probably major overkill, though... :-}

Other than that: I assume you've checked man's man page? :-)
