kernel panic: free list corrupted

    I'm trying to get e RH6.2 system up. I had just patched the kernel
to 2.2.15pre16 and run 'make xconfig' when the panic happened.  I
patched to this level (with another patch) to support the Promise Ultra
66 card.

    Can someone shed some light on it?
