Hi all--
1) Can anyone recommend a tcl/tk programming list? I have not run
across any yet. That would be a better place for my question
but since I have your attention, here it is:
2) I have 3 different applications I would like to write in tcl/tk and
all require an array of buttons in the user interface. Rather
than writing a separate procedure to be called by each button
command I would like to have just one procedure. In that
procedure it would perform the required action based on the
button that was clicked by the user. Basically the same processing
for all buttons, just different data to be used.
Herein lies the problem:
I have yet to find out where the event information is stored
to know what button was clicked. None of the books and other
documentation I have has given up that secret.
Where is this golden information stored? Or is it even stored
somewhere? Or is there a better way to do this?
Of course I am doing this on RHL 6.2 with tcl/tk 8.0.5.
Thanks for helping,
paul
