DSL

Hi all,

I am looking into a DSL connection for a while now, and it seems to me like 
all those companies just try to force me to sign for a year minimum while 
they cannot even guaranty a bandwidth.

I was hoping to get the advise of DSL veterans in this group, especially 
those who live in the NY (Brooklyn) area, about companies that worth the 
money I'll be paying Vs. those I should stay away from.

Also the issue of copper lines Vs. cable - what would be a better choice, in 
terms of overall price (monthly plus hardware) security, bandwidth, 
connection quality and support.
