You need the backward compatibility openssl rpm.
Here is what i have on my system. The first of which _should_ solve your
dependency problem with most programs, although you may need to update
openssh as well, or recompile it aginst the new openssl library.

openssl095a-0.9.5a  <---

openssl-0.9.6
openssl-devel-0.9.6
openssl-perl-0.9.6
