few doubts

i have redhat6.0 running on my system along with windows98.now i want to
install /upgrade it to redhat7.1.i have the required CD.how do i go
about it?please send me the step-by-step procedure of installation.one
more doubt. i had installed 6.0 version with minimum components.now when
i install 7.1 version can i allocate more memory to it to accomodate
more features?i have heard that LILO won't appear when i install 7.1
version.is it true?if yes what will happen to the existing LILO boot
that i have?
