I think I got mine from redhat and didn't upgrade python at all. I don't
remember exactly what I did, now. I just know I upgraded rpm (either
Roswell or Rawhide), downloaded the KDE stuff, got a few other
dependencies (I think, I really don't recall) and might have needed a
--nodeps or two, possibly a --force (not likely though, I hate using
that one much) and it all installed okie-dokey.

The only thing, if there was a koffice, I surely didn't upgrade that
because I already had a newer one.

It's hard being 48, working lotsa nights and having to deal with a
2-year-old son all at the same time! Memory goes first, I suppose.
