I have the same one. But I put it in an externel case along with a
8G tape backup. It works great. I don't think they sell that model any
more, but from what I have read, the newer, faster versions work just as
well. I am partial to SCSI writers, as they are less of a problem to
set up. Besides, I like having the burner on my desktop. I have the
tower on the floor, out of the way.
I do not know from personal experence, but I have heard you can run into
problems when doing a CD copy with the burner and the normal CD-ROM
drive on the same IDE controller...
