KDE Application Compilation Problem

Hi All,

I am trying to compile some apps under KDE, and am getting the following
error when I run configure:

checking for extra includes... no
checking for extra libs... no
checking for kde headers installed... configure: error: your system is not
able to compile a small KDE application!
Check, if you installed the KDE header files correctly.

I was getting this on KDE1.x, so I upgraded to KDE2 via RPM, I am running
on a RH 6.2 system, with lots of updates/patches...

Has anyone come across this before??
