On my server running RH6.2, when I run the "man" command, it's like it takes me to a different [virtual] page. When I cancel out of that command, the screen is cleared of that information. It seems that I recall earlier versions of RH didn't do that -- when I quit out of a command I was dropped immediately to the prompt w/o the screen clearing.
I admit my knowledge of X is severely lacking... what do I need to check to "fix" this issue?
Likewise, when I run a command, such as "vi" -- how do I get it not change [virtual] screens on me?
