telnet is turned off by default as ssh is what is wanted for users to use as
it's more secure. Run chkconfig telnet on and services xinetd restart to
get it working.
Also would suggest checking the archives when you have a question and see if
a subject might have been brought up already. This has been covered
numerous times on and you might have gotten your answer faster then you
expected.
