installation problem of redhat linux

sir

i am installing redhat linux 7.0 on an intel pentium 3 based system.i have 20 gb IDE hard disk.i want to make my system dual boot between linux & windows ME.i made a partation of 5gb & installed win ME then i started linux installation make a partation of 2 gb for root & 512 mb for swap(rest of the part i want to use in windows ME).after selecting required pakages it starts installation ,configure display,but after that it gives an error that "1024 limit exceeds  " then every thing stop  7 after rebooting system it starts booting in window ME.i have tried by setting both modes in BIOS that is NORMAL mode & LBA mode.the things remains same.
