Soundcard

Hi,

I have an integrated sound card( Intel 8280/BA/BAM AC'97 Audio Controller - 
2445 ). I got the /dev/dsp file. But when I used dmesg to show status of 
hardware I got the message "Crystal 4280/461x + AC97 Audio, version 1.10, 
... cs461x: Found 0 audio device(s)." Does it mean that this sound card is 
not supported by linux? My kernel is 2.4.3 .
