eth0 poblem

Hi friends
only two pcs connected with a cascaded utp connection. one is only win95
another is win98+linux. win95-win98 is comunicating fine. but when i run
RH7.0 and configure eth0, after restarting all communications fails. in
windows nics are found intact with their i/o, irq etc., and no error
messages. even changing their protocols to NETBUI, they are lame.
in win98+linux pc, i/o and irqs are showing as follows
windows  i/o=c000-c01f   irq=11
linux    i/o=5940-595f   and no irq
