Dell and RH6.2

I have a rh 6.2 box which will stop responding and not leave any
indication of a problem ain any logs.  I was talking somebody else and he
has a Dell box running rh6.2 and it is doing exactly the same thing for
him as well.

When I say it stops responding, I  mean, the console will not respond,
telnet will not respond, none of the applications can get out the
ethernet, but appear to be running.

 Does anybody have any ideas what is going on?
