Re: Kernel Panic

Nick,
I have has this happen to me just this week! Same error code returned and
everything... My system was unrecoverable.
During a re-install my machine dumped the same error as the install
progressed, I was unable to get past it. No luck even after repartitioning
my drive. I was finally able to get things running properly by moving my RH
7.1 install to a new machine all together (not the ideal solution for me,
but it got me back up and running!).
I attributed it to a hardware issue. I was running an AMD K6-2 500, 256 RAM
on a crappy mainboard to begin with. My H/D works properly (Western Digital
30gig) so I know that my storage device is not the issue... I am not really
sure why this happened, but I would be curious to find out why. I am also
curious to find out if the code returned references an error code in and of
itself, or if each individual hex code references an error code. Either
way, I'd like to know what it means!
Any help on deciphering this would be greatly appreciated. Sad to say, but
... I am just glad to know I am not the only one...

Al
