So far I can prove that the servers are okay by running ntpdate with ntpd
stopped. Trying to find documentation that is first easy to understand
with examples is a pain (other words omitted). So far there is no howto,
tutorial that really explains what is going on.
I thank you for your help. Right now I have turned the ntpd server off.
Since I cannot find any information and the supposed useful newsgroup
doesn't respond to questions. So I cannot for now determine how best to
use a timeserver. It almost seems like I should just set the clocks as
close as I can without ntp.
So unless the ntp maintainers could provide man pages, info pages, or easy
to understand examples I will not use it.
