Matching password in the dictionary

Hi,
I want to set my password (when I login as a user) to a word which exists in the dictionary. However, when I try to do the same I get an error saying that the password matches with a word in the dictionary. So my authentication tokens are not updated and I have to set my password to a word which does not exist in the dictionary. How can I bypass the dictionary ? Do I need to change some configuration files.
I know that the root *can* set passwords to such words which exist in the dictionary. How can a normal user do the same.
I am not on the mailing list. So please don't 'Reply' to this mail but send an e-mail to me.
Thanks a lot in advance
Regards,
Sumit
