I have setup a router with 3 network cards and the BIOS assigns them a
sepparate irq, at least it displays that whe I boot the server. On the
other hand Linux with kernel 2.4.9 says this:
----------------
ne2k-pci.c:v1.02 10/19/2000 D. Becker/P. Gortmaker
http://www.scyld.com/network/ne2k-pci.html
PCI: Found IRQ 11 for device 00:0a.0
IRQ routing conflict for 00:0a.0, have irq 3, want irq 11
eth0: RealTek RTL-8029 found at 0xe000, IRQ 3, 00:C0:26:11:63:70.
8139too Fast Ethernet driver 0.9.18a
PCI: Found IRQ 9 for device 00:08.0
IRQ routing conflict for 00:08.0, have irq 11, want irq 9
eth1: RealTek RTL8139 Fast Ethernet at 0xcd822000, 00:c0:df:0a:c1:6c, IRQ
11
eth1: Identified 8139 chip type 'RTL-8139C'
PCI: Found IRQ 3 for device 00:0b.0
IRQ routing conflict for 00:0b.0, have irq 9, want irq 3
eth2: RealTek RTL8139 Fast Ethernet at 0xcd824000, 00:50:bf:58:f0:4b, IRQ
9
eth2: Identified 8139 chip type 'RTL-8139C'
---------------
What is REALY happening ? What should I believe? The BIOS or Linux?
Thanks!
Alex
