Sendmail problem! - Easy way to mc problems

I think I might be having and m4 problem with sendmail. Is it easy to configure using the GUI.

There are almost 5 different ways of configuring sendmail, and I have had no luck yet.
Infact I re-installed sendmail, but the command '/etc/rc.d/init.d sendmail restart' takes forever.
I was changing the senmail.cf file, and that is a no-no, shouldn't a re-install creata a new .cf?

Is qmail an easier option?
