Telnet promt delay ....

Hai,

Recently I found that some of my linux machines are making delay to
display login prompt, when I telnet to that machine. Even it is happening
with 127.0.0.1 also. I checked the RAM, and CPU utilization everything
seems to be normal. What could be reason? Does any one faced the similar
kind of problem. ? If anyone having any ideas, please help me in this ..
