Changing drives

Hi,

I have a PC with two IDE disks. On hda I have two partitions and MBR.
The partitions contains / and /boot. hdb contains the remaining
partitions, plus mucho free space. I'd now like to move what I have on
hda to hdb and recycle hda in another PC.

Questions:
- Can I run a PC with only a hdb (slave) without a master disk?
- Can I move the / partition to another disk? How?
- Can I move the /boot partition to another disk? How?
- How can I recreate MBR on hdb before pulling hda?
