need help

to all,

what should i do to avoid executing this command everytime i reboot my 
linux box? /etc/rc.d/init.d/syslog restart 

i want it to be executed everytime i restart my machine. do i need to put
it in /etc/rc.d/rc.local or there's a problem in my init configs?
