Re: xine & Quicktime

But why not Xine, I have the same problems and due to space considerations I haven't installed mplayer.

There must be a solution no ? :) :)

I think Mplayer do the job.

I have tried searching the archives but could not
find an answer to this question.

When trying to play Quicktime movies, xine pops up
but reports an error something like:-

-------------------------
-xine engine error-

There is no available input plugin available to
handle '/path/filename.mov'
-------------------------

Does anyone know if xine (default installed with
RH7.3, 0.9.8 I believe) supports quicktime movies. Or if not if any other
player is available with RH7.3.

I am trying to get rid of my Windows machines and
besides games this is one of the few things I have left to sort out.

Thanks in advance

Regards

Lee
