If you have a RH 7.3 box the instead of using ntpdate why don't you just use the
ntpd program.
All you have to do is put the following line
server timeserver.uleth.ca prefer
Ofcourse the uleth one is locked out but nonetheless, any of the us military ones
should work for you, and best part you don't need a cron job to run it on the hour.
