Advanced Server - Oracle 9i install issues

Has anyone had any issues with installing Oracle 9i on an Advanced Server?

We currently have RH-AS 2.1 loaded on a Dell 6650 with 12 GB of mem. and 4 X 1.6 GB Xeons.

 

Oracle 9.0.1 R2 stalls on Linking. It gets as far as 61% then begins to eat up cpu time and hangs the box.

We successfully installed the same media (RH-AS & Oracle 9i) on a Dell 2400 with no issues.

I guess my question is, what could be so different that Oracle wont install on our 6650 but will on our 2400???

 

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
