internet connection problems

I have recently installed 7.3 on an IBM laptop. Netscape will not connect to
the internet through our firewall but Mozilla will. The proxy settings are
the same in each case but with Netscape I get connection refused or server
busy messages. Also peculiar is that no mail program can connect to our mail
server either. Again I am quite sure of my settings for this as they all
worked in 7.2. Any suggestions? Thanks,
