hi brian,

i also get this error. it occurs during erasing sony-dds3 tapes.
erasing fujifilm-tapes leads to no error! 

writing to the sony-tape the first time and reading has always been ok,
but reusing it fails.

i don't know why this occurs, but i will never buy a sony tape again!
