I reported this to bugzilla (bug 77735).  I've had this problem off and
on and it seemed to improve after I upgraded to 1.2.0.  I would shut
down evolution, shutdown and reboot the system.  I'm not having nearly
as much trouble as I used to and I'm not sure why, which is why I
reported it to bugzilla.  Please go there and add your comment as well
to let them know that you are having a problem as well.
