One thing that you might want to know is that AT&T (well, MediaOne or 
RoadRunner or what ever it is in Minnesota right now) blocks port 80 and 
25. So no HTTP or SMTP going over it.. but that can be worked around and 
setup on 8080 orsomething else.  It's intresting to note that they do not 
block port 23 (telnet).

I use a LinkSys Router & some-generic-cabel-modem combination.  The 
LinkSys has a nice DHCP server on it (though it could be more configurable).
