Wan internet access.

I am trying to access the internet with Redhat 7.3.  This box 
(100.18.6.55)  is on one lan section (100.18.6.0) and the internet 
access router (100.18.1.3)  is on another section (100.18.1.0). I tried 
setting up this box with the same settings as my Windows 98 box  but I 
can't seem to access the DNS servers.  I can ping the ip address of the 
DNS server.  I can run nslookup on the ip address of the DNS server but 
I cannot access any thing using a name. Is there some setting that needs 
to be changed to allow DNS to work over a WAN link?
