Is this a stock 7.2 kernel? If so, try issuing the following command and
see if your iptables commands work:
echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward

Subject: ipchains with redhat 7.2
Hi,
I can't use ipchains with redhat 7.2.
When I use it I got a reply like the kernel is not
compartible with ipchains. I can use iptables but I
wonder why the ipchains is available but can not be
used.
Do I have to do something before using ipchains?
Thanks,
Stand
