Hello list,
I have google-ed this question many times over with no luck so I am breaking
down and asking the list. In Red Hat 7.3 if you add the kernel parameter
'vga=788' to your grub menu.lst it displays a nifty Red Hat Linux logo
across the top of the screen after the kernel is loaded and disappears after
a few seconds. I believe I saw this same thing when I booted off of install
disk 1. How is this done? Is it related to /usr/src/linux/linux_logo.h?
I'd love to be able to have this graphic stay up longer, perhaps cover a
larger portion of the screen, and put the image of my choice there.
Ultimately I am looking to create a boot screen for Red Hat Linux kinda like
what you see in Lindows (Corel). Anybody know?
Thanks in advance!
AE
