Hello,

	I hope that you are well, I don't know about Postfix but Exim can create 
a Maildir for you if you don't have one in the specified mail delivery 
location. So I suspect that you have no maildir where you are trying to 
deliver mail. If you look at Qmail's site and look for maildirmake or 
something similar this will safely create a maildir for you so that you 
can actually do what you want aka deliver mail.
