problem moving /home

Hi,

When trying to move /home to another partition I get an error.

After copying all files to the new partition, in single user mode.  I
umount the drive then try to mount it to /home I get the following
error..

FAT: Did not find valid FSINFO signature.
Found signature1 0x0 signature2 0x0 sector=1
Directory1: bad Fat
Filesystem panic (dev 03:43)
Fat error
file system has been set read-only

Is there any way to fix this?
