pop3 ssl email checking

I've got a problem using Mozilla to check my email on a remote client 
that only allows SSL connections on port 995. Everything worked fine 
since January and then last week it stopped working. I made no changes 
to Mozilla or the system, which runs Redhat 8.0, other than the usual 
up2date updates. I can login on other systems just fine, so it's 
definitely something on my side. Please help, I hate usings web 
interfaces to check email.
