I guess it depends on what kind of work you need to do...

I am using Redhat 9 here and at work and it does almost everything I need.  
(Compupic segfaults on it for inexplicable reason.)  

The anti-aliased fonts (thanks Keith!) have reduced my eyestrain a great 
deal.  The Matrox drivers are fast without having to use closed source 
drivers.  The closed source nVidia drivers are also available, if needed.  
(The open source version of the nVidia drivers are not fast.)

I guess it depends on what you need to run and what you need to do.
