Wake up from sleep

Hi everyone... I have the following problem, I installed RH8.0 in a dell 
machine and it seems to be working fine... but when it goes to sleep, 
(after a long period of time of no activity directly on the machine) it 
goes to "sleep" mode ... well actually not completely because i can 
telnet it.. use it as rounter and dns... but when I press a key one the 
keyboard conected to the computer it won't wake up.
I think I did disable power management from bios... but not quite sure 
if I did that on the server.. how can I check that out... and how can I 
force the machine to "wake" without having to restart it?
