Hi,

I am running SMB as pdc in my network. Can anyone please tell me how to
enable users to change the passwords for their samba account?. ( normal
ctl+alt+del then newpassword is some how not working). Along with smb as pdc
i am running NIS also. I know that using yppasswd users can change their
password to the login. How to make this change common for both samba and
nis. can any please let me know ? actually the users shuttle between windoze
and linux boxes with the same user name.

If the password is to be the same for both Linux and Windows you need to set up password synchronization. If you just want them to be able to do it for Windows, you'll need to write a small script to integrate into samba.

Plenty of docs on the net with examples - haven't got a link handy, but only took one google search.
