in /etc/mail/sendmail.mc (on redhat 7.3):

define(`confPRIVACY_FLAGS', `authwarnings,novrfy,noexpn,restrictqrun')dnl

remove the authwarnings and rebuild sendmail.cf

as for AOL mail postings, not sure, provide a copy of the exact
message.
