Running the command: java -version
should give you the details you need.

Thanks a lot...I tried this and found..
[root localhost /]#
/usr/lib/mozilla-1.0.1/plugins/java2/bin/java -version
java version "1.3.1_02"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.3.1_02-b02)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.3.1_02-b02, mixed mode)
[root localhost /]#
Java works ok in Mozilla complete with applets but how do I get it to
run in Konq....I put in the full path but going to
http://www.bodo.com/javame.htm...it etll me no java is enabled
