Is this the only server you have, maybe you could setup another server
without date and time problems to act as a ntp server, also try positing
you question to the Dell PE mailing list you may get some serious
answers there.

One of my customers currently has the following system:
Dell PowerEdge 1600SC (P4 2.40Ghz)
PERC3 RAID controller (3 SCSI drives RAID 5)
IDE 20/40GB Tapedrive (Travan)
RedHat Linux 8.0 (unpatched)
The problem they have is that the time on the server will drift about 2
hours or so (the hardware clock stays in sync with the system clock so
they both get about 2 hours off). The time drift is also not exact --
not just the hours drift but the minutes do as well. This has been a
real frustration as the server hosts a timecard system that users use to
clock-in and clock-out of. The company does not have Internet access
(yet) so I cannot use the ntpd to keep the time correct. Are there any
issues with RH 8.0 and time drift? Any info would be appriciated.
